Shipping and Handling
Our priority is to ensure that you receive your items as quickly as possible.
All order placed on Monday to Friday are shipped in less than 24 hours.
If your order is placed on a Saturday or Sunday then it will be shipped on the Monday morning.
The majority of our customers tell us that they received their goods the following day after ordering!
All items are carefully packaged to protect them during transit.
Shipping is calculated based on the weight, volume and value of your package. For orders over £20 there are discounted or free shipping options in many cases. When you checkout your basket and select your destination country you will be given a choice of postage methods, all of which will show if they are free, or what they cost.
There are no additional handling charges.
Whilst we ship orders as quickly as possible after payment has been made, the time it takes for your order to reach you will depend on the shipping method you choose.
The following delivery times are estimates that the Royal Mail make about how long it will take them to deliver an item. Please bear in mind we have no control over how long delivery can take.
1st Class Post and Recorded Delivery within the UK - between 1 and 3 working days.
Special Delivery within the UK - guaranteed next day delivery
Parcel Post within the UK - between 3 and 5 working days.
Airmail and Special Delivery to Europe - between 3 and 7 working days.
Airmail and Special Delivery International - between 7 and 14 working days.
International Standard - between 5 and 12 working days.
Surface Mail to Europe - from 14 days upwards.
Surface mail International - from 56 days upwards.
Choosing to send your package Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery will require someone to sign for your package when it arrives, and makes it possible to track the package if there are any problems with delivery. It also means that packages are insured. You can see the insurance cover on different types of postage as you checkout your basket
If you have not chosen a Recorded or Special Delivery option for your package we have no way of tracking your package should it go missing or fail to be delivered. We can accept no financial liability for packages that are not covered by an insured method of postage and are lost. If a package is tracked and insured we will make every effort to find missing packages or claim the insurance and compensate you accordingly.
For items sent with insurance, and lost in the postal system, we need to allow 28 days before a claim to the Royal Mail for a refund can be made. This timescale is a condition of the Royal Mail postal service, as this allows time for packages to be returned to us before a claim can be made on the insurance. If your order remains undelivered beyond the timescales shown above we recommend that first of all you contact your local sorting office or post handler to see if your package is with them. You can let us know if your package has not arrived and if it was shipped Recorded or Special Delivery we can try and help you to track your package.
The different methods and the cost of shipping can be seen at any time without being committed to buy. Go to the Checkout - select your shipping country and hit Next - the following page will display the different postage methods, their costs and the insurance they provide. Each method of postage will have a different price against it so you can choose the one that suits you. You can change the contents of your basket or return to the shop at any time.
Please also note that any orders containing pre-order items (i.e. items that are not yet released but are expected), will all be shipped together when the pre-order item comes into stock.
Adventures Gate reserve the right to upgrade postage methods at any time we think it appropriate. We will do this without any additional charge to you the customer.
